Adult Development Day Treatment
Adult Developmental Day Treatment (ADDT) offers assessments, as well as habilitative, supervised living, prevocational, therapeutic, and educational services provided by a licensed adult day treatment clinic.
In order to receive ADDT services, an individual must:
Must have Medicaid.
Must have a developmental disability diagnosis that originated before the age of 22.
Must be either 21 and older or between 18-21 years of age with a diploma or certificate of completion.
Must have proven medical necessity for ADDT services, meaning that a physician must identify the individual’s medical needs or a medical or developmental diagnosis.
Must have a written prescription from a physician.
Must receive services as written in an individual program plan (IPP).
Each client who enters the ADDT Program will have a written individual program plan (IPP) developed from evaluations to improve or maintain the client’s condition. Services provided must be based on the goals and objectives of the client’s IPP.
Adult habilitative services encompass instruction in areas of cognition, communication, social/emotional, motor, and adaptive skills, including self-care. These services may also reinforce skills learned and practiced in occupational, physical, or speech therapy.
Prevocational services are designed to prepare clients for employment. This includes goals such as promoting compliance, task completion, problem-solving, and ensuring safety.
