Food Program
Free and reduced-price meals will be available to students at Stepping Stone School throughout the upcoming school year.
Application forms for free and reduced-price meals can be picked up at the Stepping Stone administrative offices. These forms must be completed and returned to the school, with only one application required per household.
Free and reduced meal programs are administered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
To receive free lunches, a household income must be 130 percent or less of the federal poverty guidelines. For a family of two, the maximum annual income limit to qualify is $36,482, with $9,509 being added for each additional household member. This equals a monthly income of $3,041, with $793 added for each additional person.
Applications may be submitted anytime during the school year and are subject to verification at any time during that year.
Free meals are available to children who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, are enrolled in Head Start or Even Start programs, or are certified as migrant, homeless, runaway, or foster children.
